In the Istanbul negotiations, Ukraine handed over a list of children who have been captured by Russia.
The second round of direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine ended on Monday in Istanbul.
Oncu Keceli, the spokesperson for the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced the end of the talks at the Ciragan Palace, stating that the meeting concluded without negative results.
These talks, which lasted about an hour, were part of diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions between the two countries at war.
In this context, Volodymyr Zelensky announced during the NATO summit in Lithuania that Kyiv and Moscow are preparing for a new round of prisoner exchange.
Zelensky, referring to the exchange of documents between the two sides through Turkey’s mediation, said we are preparing for the release of a new group of war prisoners.
In one of the most important parts of these negotiations, Ukraine handed over an official list of children who, according to the country’s officials, have been illegally transferred by Russia from the occupied territories to the Russian side.
Andriy Yermak wrote in a message on social networks that today, during the Istanbul negotiations, the Ukrainian side officially presented a list of Ukrainian children who must be returned to Russia.
