In just this one month, many items have become 50% more expensive.

The Iranian state news agency ILNA, quoting Jalal Mahmoudzadeh, a representative of Mahabad in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, wrote that in the one month that has passed in the year 1402, many items have become 50% more expensive. He said that right now we see people standing in line for 85,000 toman chicken, red meat has been removed from the tables of 90% of the people, and rainbow trout has gone from 60,000 tomans to 175,000 tomans. Mahmoudzadeh called the economic team of Ebrahim Raisi’s government responsible for providing for the people’s tables, who he said are weak, and this has caused the rampant inflation in the country.
