In the past five days, 177 people died in accidents, says the Traffic Police Chief

The head of the traffic police reported 177 people have died in accidents over the past five days.

The head of the traffic police of Faraja stated that in the past 5 days, 177 people have lost their lives in road accidents and 6,200 have been injured.

Commander Sayed Teymour Hosseini, the head of the traffic police of Faraja, mentioned that since March, the Nowruz traffic police plan has effectively started in conjunction with other service-providing agencies.

He added that more than 87,000 personnel from diligent organizations such as emergency services, the Road Maintenance Organization, the Red Crescent, and roadside assistance are working alongside the police to provide services across the country, and so far we have not encountered any issues.

He continued, due to severe weather conditions, only in some routes were there specific conditions that made travel impossible, which forced us to close them, although they have been reopened.
