Increase in Israeli attacks on Lebanon: Bombing of Beirut and ground advance in the south
Israel has intensified aerial and ground attacks against Hezbollah, targeting densely populated areas of Beirut and southern Lebanon. These attacks have resulted in dozens of deaths and triggered a new wave of displacement.
The Israeli military has expanded its attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon, simultaneously bombing various areas and deploying more ground forces to southern Lebanon.
Last night, the Bashoura neighborhood in Beirut was attacked after the Israeli military warned residents to leave the area. In this attack, a residential building near the government headquarters was destroyed, with reports indicating several deaths and dozens of injuries.
At the same time, the Israeli military has asked residents of wider areas in southern Lebanon to leave their homes. Throughout the night, intense airstrikes continued in these areas, especially around the city of Tyre, forcing thousands to flee their homes.
Israeli officials have announced that, in addition to Hezbollah forces and commanders, economic centers and businesses that they claim finance the group’s operations are also being targeted.
According to reports, since the start of the new round of conflicts, over 900 people have been killed in Lebanon and about one million people have been displaced.
