Increase in Military Support from the Islamic Republic to Moscow
Foreign Policy, citing five NATO and U.S. officials, reported that the Islamic Republic is increasing its military support to Moscow by signing new military agreements with Russia, a move that could lead to a prolonged war in Ukraine and provide economic and defense assistance to Tehran.
This American publication quoted William Burns, the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, saying that the military alliance between Russia and Iran is currently rapidly forming in a very dangerous direction.
Nevertheless, according to Foreign Policy, behind closed doors, American officials admit that there is no realistic way to prevent Iranian military goods from entering Russia for the war in Ukraine.
