Inflation in Turkey reached seventy percent, dashing hopes for a reduction in interest rates.
According to the latest data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, Turkey’s annual inflation rose to 69.8 percent in April.
The annual inflation related to consumer prices in this country also reached nearly 70 percent last month, which was slightly lower than expected.
This figure represents the highest inflation rate since November 2022, mainly due to a sharp increase in prices, especially for educational costs, restaurants, and hotels.
