Instagram Does Not Pay Attention to Iran's Requests

Instagram doesn’t care about Iran’s requests

Meta, the company that owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, says it does not care about Iran’s request to appoint a representative in Tehran.

We will not enter into dialogue with Iranian officials and will not be engaged with their request to appoint a representative in Iran.

Isa Zarepour, Iran’s Minister of Communications, had stated that Iran set conditions for lifting the ban on Instagram and WhatsApp, which were sent to Meta, but the company has not yet responded.

Previously, the Iranian government had announced a 10-day deadline for Meta to respond.
