Intense clashes between the military forces of both sides in Khartoum
On the third day of the civil war in Sudan, intense clashes have been reported across the country, with the scope of these conflicts expanding daily, reaching the capital city of Khartoum.
The war between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continued throughout the night and has now entered its third day.
The clashes in Sudan began after a plan to transfer power from the temporary military government to the formation of a civilian government was proposed. The power struggle within the country’s military leadership led to conflicts between rival groups. More than a hundred people have been killed in the Sudan clashes, and several thousand are reported to be injured.
Eyewitness reports suggest the possibility of the army gaining the upper hand in these clashes.
