Interior Minister Announces End of Services to Unveiled Individuals

The Minister of Interior announced the end of providing services to unveiled individuals

A member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, quoting Iran’s Minister of Interior, announced the end of providing services to individuals he referred to as unveiled.

The head of the Islamic Consultative Assembly’s Councils Commission stated that the Minister of Interior said those who commit unveiling in public or have improper hijab will first receive a warning via text message.

According to him, after the text message warning, if the individual insists on not observing the hijab, they will not be provided with services at public service centers.

According to Iran’s Minister of Interior, if the issue continues, the case of these individuals will be referred to the judiciary.

These statements come as the plan known as ‘Chastity and Hijab’, which aims to pressure women who ignore the mandatory hijab in public places, is being implemented. Meanwhile, numerous images of women appearing without the mandatory hijab in various cities have been shared on social media.
