Interior Minister's Reaction to the News of Park Closures on Sizdah Bedar: Be Aware of Enemy Plots

The Interior Minister’s reaction to the news of park closures on Sizdah Bedar: Be wary of the enemies’ plots.

The Interior Minister denied any decision regarding the closure of Tehran’s parks on Nature Day by releasing a statement.

Ahmad Vahidi, the Interior Minister, wrote in a message that the wise people of Iran have always respected the holy month of Ramadan. Nowruz and Islamic traditions have a longstanding connection. No decision has been made in the ministry to close the parks. We should be cautious of the enemies’ plots.

It is worth mentioning that in recent days, a news report from the IRIB News Agency claimed that, according to the Ministry of Interior, due to the upcoming Nature Day coinciding with the days of Ramadan, especially the anniversary of Imam Ali’s martyrdom, it was decided that on April 2nd, all parks, gardens, and recreational areas would be closed, as in previous years when it coincided with Ramadan, and would reopen one hour before the Maghrib call to prayer.

However, yesterday, the Deputy Minister of Security of the Interior Ministry, in an interview with the government’s official information platform, denied the issuance of any notice regarding the closure of parks and gardens on April 2nd and announced that announcements are published through the Ministry of Interior’s information platform and communicated to the public, and no such announcement has been made in this regard.
