Interior Ministry Spokesperson: No Part of Iran's Territory Fell During the January Events

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior stated that during the events of December, no part of Iran’s territory fell.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior denied claims that a part of Iran’s territory was captured by enemy forces and said that if even the smallest part of the country’s territory had come under enemy control, foreign media and opponents of the Islamic Republic would have widely covered it.

He rejected this claim, saying that if even the smallest territory, from a city to a nomadic settlement in border areas, had fallen under enemy control, foreign media and the opposition would have certainly covered it with great exaggeration. If such an event had occurred, why have these media not reported it? This claim is baseless.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior also referred to the events of January 8th, stating that senior officials of the ministry were present at their workplaces at the time of the incidents and, while expressing regret over the events that occurred in some cities, emphasized that no part of the country’s territory, not even an empty kiosk, fell from us. The claim of a city falling is completely incorrect and unfounded.
