Internet Disrupted in Areas Near Haniyeh's Funeral Procession

The internet has been cut off in some areas near the site of Haniyeh’s funeral procession.

Iranian users and some organizations monitoring internet access freedom have reported that the internet has been cut off or severely disrupted in some areas near the venue of Ismail Haniyeh’s funeral procession.

Filterban, which researches and reports on digital rights and internet access rights, wrote that based on user reports, at the same time as the prayer for Ismail Haniyeh was conducted by the leader of the Islamic Republic, the internet was cut off or severely disrupted in areas near the ceremony, including from Enghelab to Vali Asr regions in Tehran.

Filterban wrote on its account on the social network X that some users also reported mobile phone signal outages starting around 10 AM.
