Pezeshkian: Iran and Pakistan can meet their needs by relying on regional capacities
Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, in a meeting with Syed Mohsin Naqvi, the Interior Minister of Pakistan, emphasized the expansion of relations between Tehran and Islamabad in the fields of trade, energy, tourism, investment, and cultural and scientific cooperation. Pezeshkian said that Iran and Pakistan possess extensive human capacities and resources, and by developing joint investments and facilitating economic cooperation, they can meet a significant portion of their needs by relying on domestic and regional capabilities. He also claimed that U.S. pressures have led to increased convergence among Islamic countries and considered the recent exchanges between Iranian and Pakistani officials as an indication of this trend. Mohsin Naqvi also stated that the relations between Iran and Pakistan have reached a high level, and the Pakistani government is determined to expand cooperation with Tehran in the fields of trade, economy, tourism, politics, culture, and science.
