Iran and the United States Both Declare Victory in The Hague Court

Iran and the United States both declared themselves winners of the Hague court case

Following the issuance of the International Court of Justice’s ruling in The Hague regarding the lack of sufficient judicial competence to examine the large financial and legal dispute between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States concerning the $2 billion of Iranian funds frozen in the U.S., both parties declared themselves victors in the matter.

On Thursday, March 30th, the United States described the Hague court’s ruling as clear and a major victory for the United States and victims of terrorism caused by Iran.

The Islamic Republic government had filed a complaint against the United States in the Hague court and demanded the release of approximately two billion dollars of its frozen assets in the U.S.
