Iran and Venezuela signed 25 cooperation agreements

According to Venezuela’s state television network, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, after meeting with his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi, described Iran as one of the new scientific and technological powers of the world and said that his government extends its hand towards Iran.

Mr. Maduro made these remarks in Caracas today, June 13, 2022, while signing 25 bilateral agreements with a delegation of Iranian officials.

Ebrahim Raisi met with his Venezuelan counterpart in Caracas during the first part of his trip to Latin America.

In this trip, his wife Jamileh Alamolhoda is accompanying him. Mr. Raisi will travel to Cuba and Nicaragua after Venezuela.

Venezuela’s state television showed footage of his arrival at an airport near Caracas and then his entry into the presidential palace, where he was received by Nicolás Maduro.
