Iran is a destabilizing factor in the region
Michael Kurilla, the commander of the U.S. Central Command, called Iran a destabilizing factor in the region. He went on to accuse Iran of financing and supporting terrorism and of violating and challenging international laws. The American official claimed that Iran continues to send and deploy weapons to its proxy militia groups in the region, and its drones are considered a threat to regional security. This country also continues to engage in destabilizing actions aimed at undermining regional security. He previously stated that the U.S. will not allow Iran to become a nuclear power, adding that concerns about Iran go beyond its nuclear capabilities.
