After 10 years, direct flights of Saudi Arabian planes to Iran have resumed.
The spokesperson for Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization has announced that Flynas, alongside Iran Air, will transport Iranian pilgrims between the two countries this year.
Mehdi Ramazani has stated that the direct flights of this Saudi airline for transporting Iranian pilgrims will begin around a decade later, starting from May 8 and will continue until July 1.
The spokesperson for Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization has said that Iran Air will conduct 604 round-trip flights and Flynas will conduct 224.
Iran Air will transport 71,000 pilgrims and Flynas will transport 37,000 pilgrims.
These flights will take place from 21 airports in Iran.
According to Mr. Ramazani, one of the agreed-upon topics is fueling the planes of both countries at airports in Iran and Saudi Arabia, and there is no issue in this regard.
Mr. Ramazani has stated that Flynas is supposed to handle all flights from Mashhad airport and part of the flights from Imam Airport, while Iran Air will cover the Hajj flights from Imam Airport and other specified airports in the country.
