Iran claims to have achieved supersonic cruise missile technology
The Tasnim news agency, close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, reported on Wednesday, August 10, that the Islamic Republic has achieved the technology to design and manufacture supersonic cruise missiles.
The report states that a new generation of Iranian cruise missiles is undergoing tests and describes it as the beginning of a new era in Iran’s defensive power.
It is also mentioned that the significance of achieving this new technology lies in the fact that the speed of these missiles will increase dramatically, making them difficult to counter.
Tasnim wrote that the use of ramjet engines in naval cruise missiles and achieving supersonic cruise missiles is significant and noteworthy because, in the event of any conflict, it will greatly enhance the Islamic Republic of Iran’s reaction speed and, on the other hand, will deprive the attacking forces of the opportunity to respond.
