Iran Condemns the US to Pay $300 Million in Compensation

The Tehran Civil Court has sentenced several American institutions and officials to pay over $300 million in compensation to the families of the victims of the attack on the Parliament and the mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini in 2017. ISIS had claimed responsibility for this attack. On Wednesday, April 26, the Mizan News Agency reported that the Tehran Civil Court had condemned some American institutions and officials to pay $312,950,000 in material, spiritual, and punitive damages. The judiciary stated that this ruling was issued as a reciprocal legal action against the US government and its support and assistance to the terrorist group ISIS in committing terrorist acts. The compensation must be paid to the families of the victims of the attack on the Parliament and the mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini in 2017.
