Iran Customs: Last Year's Mobile Phone Imports Valued at 3 Billion and 202 Million Dollars

The value of phone imports in Iran last year was 3 billion and 202 million dollars.

The Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that the value of mobile phone imports, which entered the country in 2023 through two methods: commercial and passenger, was 3 billion and 202 million dollars.

According to the public relations of Iran’s Customs, mobile phone imports through the country’s customs in the past year reached 14 million and 688 thousand and 580 devices via two methods: commercial and passenger.

45 percent of the total value of the country’s imports in 2023 was allocated to mobile phone imports.

This report adds that, in 2023, 14 million and 222 thousand and 306 mobile phones, valued at 2 billion and 932 million dollars, were imported commercially and cleared from the country’s customs.

According to this report, during the mentioned period, 466 thousand and 274 mobile phones, valued at 270 million dollars, were imported into the country by passengers.
