Iran does not want a nuclear agreement and our priority is the people of Iran.
In his recent interview with Bloomberg, Robert Malley naturally spoke about his responsibilities regarding his country’s relations with Iran and various issues under review by his government. He specifically mentioned the process of the JCPOA negotiations, stating that when negotiations mean Iran returns each time with unrelated new demands, there is no point in negotiating.
Robert Malley explicitly stated that the Biden administration’s main priority in the current situation is to support the rightful demands of the Iranian people and the popular protests in our country. Additionally, there is a serious determination to prevent Iran from providing military assistance to Russia in its aggression against Ukraine.
These statements by Robert Malley, as the senior representative of the Biden administration on Iran affairs, are a response to media and diplomatic interactions and Iran’s efforts to open breathing space in the international diplomatic arena by bringing the nuclear issue to negotiation rounds. The U.S., knowing that Iran needs such a display, has entrusted Europe with the task of forcing Iran to accept all the demands presented within the scope of JCPOA interactions.
