The Iran Human Rights Organization reports the arrest of doctors and aid workers for treating protesters.

The Norway-based Iran Human Rights Organization announced on Sunday, January 24, a new wave of repression and arrests of individuals who provided aid to the injured during recent protests.

The organization has stated that security forces have violently arrested doctors and volunteer citizens by raiding homes and clinics, and are destroying their belongings.

According to an informed source, at least four doctors have been arrested for assisting the injured protesters, and there is currently no information about their fate.

The Iran Human Rights Organization also reported, citing another source, that Dr. Ameneh Soleimani, a doctor and manager of a skin and hair clinic in Ardabil, has been arrested by security forces in recent days for accepting and treating the injured from the city’s protests.

According to this report, a volunteer aid worker named Khosro Minaei, who had turned his personal home into a shelter for the affected, was arrested on January 14 following a raid by security forces on his house.

The Iran Human Rights Organization has stated that Mr. Minaei had sheltered and treated more than 20 injured individuals in his home, and even two of the injured lost their lives there due to the severity of their injuries.
