Iran International network has been targeted with threats for 18 months

The spokesperson for the Iran International news network says that an attack with a cold weapon on one of the network’s hosts occurred following months of heavy threats against the network.

36-year-old Pouria Zeraati was attacked and injured outside his home yesterday by a group with a cold weapon.

On Saturday, he shared a photo of himself on a hospital bed, raising his fingers in a victory sign.

Anti-terrorism police investigations into this attack are ongoing, and the Iranian government has denied any involvement in the attack.

Adam Bailey, the spokesperson for this news network, told BBC Radio 4 that the network has been the target of heavy threats for 18 months.
