Iran's Ministry of Labor Report: Poverty Line Approaching Three Million Tomans

The report from Iran’s Ministry of Labor shows that the poverty line is approaching three million tomans.

The per capita is 285 million tomans, and for a four-person household, it is approximately 77 million tomans.

This is the estimate from the latest poverty monitoring report prepared by Iran’s Ministry of Labor, and parts of it have been published by the ILNA news agency, quoting the public relations of this ministry.

According to this report, the poverty line for a four-person and three-person household in Tehran city for the year 1401 is estimated to be around 147 and 119 million tomans, respectively.

The report also discusses the poverty line in the year 1400, stating that the year 1400 began with high inflation but saw a declining trend in the final months. Nevertheless, despite the reduction in inflation in 1400, the inflation rate in Iran’s economy remained significantly higher than its long-term trends, and the economy is in an unstable situation.
