Iran National Fencing Team Secures Olympic Team Quota

The Iranian national fencing team secured a team quota for the Olympics.

The Iranian national fencing team in the saber category obtained a team quota for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Iran’s only competitor for this quota was Japan, which failed to advance to the top eight teams in the World Cup in Hungary after losing to Romania. Consequently, Iran joined these teams and secured the Olympic quota.

By obtaining this quota, the Iranian national fencing team will participate in the Olympics for the second time.

The World Cup, which is the last event by the International Fencing Federation for distributing Olympic quotas, is taking place in Budapest.
