Iran National Football Team Wins 4-0 Against Hong Kong

The Iranian national football team won against Hong Kong with four goals.

In the return match of the second round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the Iranian national football team defeated Hong Kong with a score of 4-2. Iran scored two goals in each half and conceded one goal.

Both of Iran’s goals in the first half were scored by Mehdi Taremi from the penalty spot. In the second half, he managed to complete a hat-trick, bringing his national goal tally to 49.

The fourth goal was scored by Sardar Azmoun, which was his 53rd national goal.

In the first half, the 20-year-old host player, Hei Wai Ma, sent the ball into the net through Niyazmand’s legs. In the second half, 18-year-old Anthony Pinto capitalized on the disarray in Iran’s defense to score his team’s second goal.

Amir Ghalenoei’s students will face Uzbekistan next Tuesday at Azadi Stadium in the final match of Group E to determine the group leader.
