The Iranian National Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad Team Secured the World Championship Title

This success marks the second consecutive championship for Iran’s national astronomy and astrophysics team in these competitions over the past two years

The Iranian Astronomy and Astrophysics Team conquered the world championship peak in a competition among a total of 64 participating countries in the 18th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics IOAA 2025

These competitions were held from August 11 to 21 in Mumbai, India, and Iranian students claimed 5 gold medals

The Iranian National Astronomy and Astrophysics Team is composed of Ali Naderi, Hossein Masoumi, Hirbod Foodazi, Arshia Mirshamsi Kakhki, and Hossein Soltani
