Iran agrees to limit its 60% enriched uranium reserves on the condition that the Board of Governors’ resolution is lifted.
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency reported that Iran’s 60% enriched uranium reserves have increased again, but mentioned that Iran has recently promised not to further increase its high-concentration uranium reserves, provided that the agency’s Board of Governors does not issue a resolution against Tehran.
According to the quarterly report prepared by Rafael Grossi for the agency’s Board of Governors, parts of which were released by some Western news agencies on Tuesday, November 20, he stated that as of October 26, over three weeks ago, Iran had about 1,823 kilograms of 60% enriched uranium, which is 176 kilograms more than in August.
Mr. Grossi recently traveled to Iran to persuade the officials of the Islamic Republic to increase cooperation and address the agency’s concerns.
Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, announced in a meeting with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency that Tehran is ready to cooperate and align with this international body to clear up ambiguities and doubts regarding Iran’s nuclear activities.
