Iran Air spokesperson: No sanctions have been imposed on Iran Air
The spokesperson for Iran Air on Thursday, September 13, referred to the announcement of the cancellation of Iran Air’s flight to Cologne on the Imam Khomeini Airport board and said no sanctions have been imposed on Iran Air and all flights are operating.
According to Iranian domestic media, Hesam Ghorbanali claimed that the news linking the cancellation of this flight to the sanctions imposed on Iran Air is an action by several opposing sites.
According to Ghorbanali, so far no official report regarding the sanctioning of Iran Air from France, the UK, and Germany has reached this company, and all flights will proceed as scheduled.
This is while Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, on Tuesday, September 11, during his visit to the UK, announced new and extensive sanctions against Iran, including against Iran Air, due to the delivery of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia.
Simultaneously, Germany, France, and the UK also announced in a statement that they intend to place Iran Air on their sanctions list.
