IranAir Spokesperson: No Sanctions Imposed on IranAir

IranAir spokesperson: No sanctions have been imposed on IranAir

The spokesperson for IranAir said on Thursday, September 13, referring to the announcement of the cancellation of IranAir’s flight to Cologne on the Imam Khomeini Airport’s board, that no sanctions have been imposed on IranAir and all flights are operating.

According to Iranian domestic media, Hesam Ghorbani claimed that the news linking the cancellation of this flight to the sanctions imposed on IranAir is an action by several hostile websites.

Ghorbani stated that so far no official report regarding sanctions on IranAir has been received from France, the UK, and Germany, and all flights will proceed as scheduled.

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced on Tuesday, September 11, during his visit to the UK, new and extensive sanctions against Iran, including against IranAir, due to the delivery of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia.

At the same time, Germany, France, and the UK also announced in a statement that they intend to place IranAir on their sanctions list.
