Iranian Diplomat Prayed Eid al-Fitr Prayer Behind Taliban Minister

An Iranian diplomat performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer behind the Taliban minister

He participated in the Eid al-Fitr prayer led by a Taliban minister in Kabul on Friday, while Iran has declared today, Saturday, as Eid al-Fitr.

The national television run by the Taliban reported that diplomats from Islamic countries, including Iran and Pakistan, performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer led by Shahabuddin Delawar, the Taliban’s Minister of Mines, at the Sepidar Palace.

On Friday, senior Taliban officials also held another Eid prayer at the Arg.

Former President Hamid Karzai, who is in Kabul, did not attend either of these two Eid prayers held by Taliban officials. It is said that Abdullah Abdullah traveled to India during Ramadan.
