Iranian Embassy in Paris Gets an Ambassador After Two Years

The Iranian Embassy in Paris has appointed an ambassador after two years.

Mohammad Aminnejad has been appointed as the new Iranian ambassador to Paris. Mr. Aminnejad previously served as Iran’s ambassador to Zimbabwe, Ivory Coast, and Niger, as well as chargé d’affaires in Belgium, Luxembourg, and European institutions. He has also worked as the deputy director of the Western Europe department and as the deputy director-general of the Africa department at Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Since the end of Bahram Qasemi’s mission as the former Iranian ambassador in March 2022, the Iranian Embassy in Paris has been managed at the level of chargé d’affaires.

At the same time, Iranian media reported that Abdollah Nekounam Ghadiri has been appointed as the new Iranian ambassador to Brazil, Mir Masoud Hosseinian as the new ambassador to Tunisia, Ali Tiztak as the new ambassador to Niger, and Amir Hosseini as the new ambassador to the Congo.
