Iranian Government Officially Invites Saudi King for a Visit to Tehran

The Iranian government officially invited the King of Saudi Arabia to visit Tehran.

Nasser Kanaani, the spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, stated that the President of Iran has officially invited the King of Saudi Arabia to visit Tehran. According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, the reopening of the embassies of the two countries in Tehran and Riyadh will also take place by May 9 at the latest. Mr. Kanaani said that the invitation from the King of Saudi Arabia to Ebrahim Raisi has been received, and the President has reciprocated by inviting him. Earlier, in the first week of April, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran’s Foreign Minister, announced in an interview with Al Jazeera that Iran is ready to host King Salman after the news of Saudi Arabia’s invitation to Ebrahim Raisi to visit Riyadh was released.
