Iranian girls’ handball team became champions of the Asian Youth Games
The Iranian national youth girls’ handball team achieved the championship title at the Asian Youth Games by creating consecutive surprises and defeating powerful teams like China and Kazakhstan, marking the first gold medal in the history of Iranian handball across all categories.
This success was achieved despite the fact that prior to this, Iranian handball had never won a gold medal in the Asian Games in any youth or adult categories, for either women or men.
