One day after the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic threatened action against the United States, Asghar Jahangir, the spokesperson for the Iranian judiciary, threatened the U.S. and Israel with legal action and filing complaints in domestic and international courts.

Jahangir, reiterating the official positions of the Iranian government, held the United States and Israel responsible for what he called hostile actions and said the Iranian judiciary would pursue this issue through legal channels.
