Iranian media reported hearing the sound of an explosion in Qeshm

Iranian media have reported hearing the sound of an explosion in Qeshm.

Iranian media, citing local sources, have reported that the sound of an explosion has been heard in the Qeshm county area.

In a report, Mehr News Agency wrote that although the exact nature of these sounds is still unknown, given the volume of the sound, the source of the explosion might be relatively far from Qeshm city or related to activities in the Strait of Hormuz.

So far, no official authorities have provided an explanation about the origin of this sound or the exact location of the explosion, and no further details have been released.

These reports come as on Wednesday morning, the United States conducted several airstrikes on locations in southern Iran in response to the downing of one of its helicopters in the Sea of Oman. Additionally, Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters reported retaliatory attacks by the IRGC and Iranian army on U.S. bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan.
