Iranian Parliament Member: The oil money that hasn’t been returned is in line with overthrowing the government
Akbar Ranjbarzadeh, a member of the Parliament’s Industries and Mines Commission, based on conducted investigations, stated that about 7 billion dollars from the resources obtained from oil sales have not been returned to the country by some trust companies and exchange offices, and this issue requires serious intervention from the government and the judiciary.
The non-return of these resources is considered a disruption in the country’s economic order and can contribute to increased currency fluctuations and a rise in the dollar rate.
He emphasized the need for accountability from responsible institutions and added that it must be clarified who selected these companies and what oversight weaknesses have allowed this situation to persist.
Ranjbarzadeh said that if any misconduct or collusion is confirmed, a firm and legal judicial action against those involved in this case is necessary, and the possibility of infiltration and exploitation of management gaps must also be thoroughly investigated.
