Iran's Emergency Chief: Over 6,000 Injured Transferred to Medical Centers During 12-Day War

The head of Iran’s emergency services stated that over 6,000 injured were transferred to medical centers during the 12-day war.

Jafar Miadfar, the head of Iran’s emergency services, announced in a press conference on July 27th that six emergency centers were severely damaged in Israel’s attack on Iran, and the Hoveyzeh base in Khuzestan was completely destroyed. He said there were no military targets around this roadside emergency center.

He mentioned that during the 12-day war between Israel and Iran, more than 10,000 missions were conducted, over 6,000 injured were transferred to medical centers, and 1,044 emergency surgeries were performed.

Mr. Miadfar, in this press conference, provided details on the statistics of civilian casualties, stating that during this war, 102 women and 47 children lost their lives, and 215 children and teenagers were injured.

On June 21, 2025, reports emerged of a direct Israeli attack on the 115 emergency base in Hoveyzeh, and emergency officials announced that this base, located near the memorial for those killed in the Iran-Iraq war on the Hoveyzeh-Rafi’ road, was leveled.
