Iran's Environmental Organization has spotted 18 Asiatic cheetahs this year

This year, 18 Asiatic cheetahs have been spotted in Iran by the Environmental Organization.

Gholamreza Abedali, the Director General of the Office for the Protection and Management of Wildlife of Iran’s Environmental Organization, stated that in 2022, six female cheetahs with 10 cubs and two male cheetahs were observed and recorded.

According to him, compared to previous years, we have had better and more positive statistics regarding the sighting of new cheetahs.

Mr. Abedali also mentioned the status of the two female cheetah cubs, Touran and Azar, saying that they are in Touran National Park and are in good health. These two cubs are more lively than Pirooz at the same age and do not have digestive issues like Pirooz did.
