European Parliament Member: Iran Presented a Fake Narrative of Protests to European Ambassadors
Hannah Neumann, a German member of the European Parliament, said the Islamic Republic’s Foreign Ministry summoned the ambassadors of the UK, Germany, and Italy today to watch a video of the protests in order to present its fake narrative of the events to them.
In an interview with BBC Persian, Neumann stated that for this reason, members of the European Parliament are seeking to expel representatives of the Islamic Republic from Europe. According to her, these representatives do nothing but spread lies in the European Union.
She added that the process of reviewing and pursuing the expulsion of Iranian representatives has begun and is being followed up, expressing hope that these efforts will bear fruit.
