Iranian Foreign Minister’s phone conversation with three European countries about the nuclear dossier
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced that Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, will have a joint call with the Foreign Ministers of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom to discuss the nuclear dossier and the lifting of sanctions.
According to him, the conversation will also address the issue of attacks against Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Meanwhile, Western sources have reported that the three European countries have raised the possibility of activating the snapback mechanism and have proposed an offer to Iran, which includes the limited extension of certain provisions of Resolution 2231 if Tehran returns to the negotiating table and cooperates with the agency.
Iran has deemed this approach illegal and illogical, accusing Europe of failing to fulfill its commitments under the JCPOA.
