The Iranian Foreign Ministry says the conditions for a meaningful dialogue with the United States are not in place.
The press conference of the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry was held today, November 3, 2025, with media presence.
In response to another question about the resumption of negotiations between Iran and the United States, Esmail Baghaei said that whenever we reach the negotiation stage, decisions will naturally be made regarding the negotiation team and other details.
However, the conditions and issues related to the negotiations are clear now, and there is no need to repeat them.
He emphasized that the rights and interests of the Iranian nation must be respected, noting that the opposing parties must accept that the Islamic Republic of Iran has inalienable rights based on the fundamental principles of international law and the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Without a doubt, in any negotiation, we do not intend to unilaterally give up our legitimate rights.
If this realistic understanding and respect for Iran’s rights is established in the opposing party, it can be said that the conditions for meaningful dialogue are in place. But under the current circumstances, I don’t think we have reached that stage.
