Iran’s Foreign Ministry states that NATO’s claim of military aid to Russia in the war with Ukraine is unfounded.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry has deemed the statement from the NATO summit in Washington, which accused Iran of sending military aid to Russia in the Ukraine war, as completely baseless and politically motivated, and has rejected it.
Nasser Kanaani, the spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, has said that what we are witnessing in Ukraine is the result of NATO’s provocative policies and actions, centered around the United States, and it continues.
However, the spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry did not deny sending weapons to Russia and said that attempts to link the Ukraine war to the bilateral cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia are purely politically motivated actions aimed at legitimizing Western interventions and continued military aid to Ukraine.
At the seventy-fifth NATO summit in Washington, one of the main topics was Russia’s attack on Ukraine, and member countries expressed concern over military aid from various countries, including Iran and China, to Russia.
NATO members accused China of significantly empowering Russia in its war against Ukraine.
