Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: Azerbaijan’s Silence Confirms Baku and Tel Aviv’s Cooperation

Nasser Kanaani, the spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, wrote on his Twitter account that the continued silence of the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding the statements of Israel’s Foreign Minister is an implicit confirmation of his remarks.

Mr. Kanaani stated that they have asked the Azerbaijani government to explain the statements of the Foreign Minister of the Zionist regime about an agreement with Azerbaijan to form a united front against Iran.

The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry further wrote that the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesperson evaded the issue and resorted to new accusations against Iran.

The reactions of Iranian officials are regarding the statements of Eli Cohen, Israel’s Foreign Minister, during his meeting with Jeyhun Bayramov, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tel Aviv, where he said the two countries have a common understanding of the threats from Iran.

This meeting took place during Mr. Bayramov’s visit to Tel Aviv for the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
