Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: Participation of Citizens Abroad in Elections is Important to Us

The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry stated that the participation of citizens abroad in the elections is important to us.

Nasser Kanaani, the spokesperson for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, said on Monday, June 11, regarding the ministry’s actions for holding the fourteenth presidential election abroad, that for the diplomatic apparatus, the maximum participation of the people, especially Iranians abroad, in the presidential election is very important. In order to establish an appropriate mechanism for the maximum participation of Iranian citizens abroad, initial actions in this regard have been taken some time ago, and the necessary coordination with the Ministry of Interior has been made.

He added that the necessary correspondence with the relevant authorities in the countries where the presidential election is held is being conducted to ensure the safe and convenient participation of Iranian citizens in the elections, and the necessary measures in this regard are being taken.
