Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sees No Need for a Second JCPOA

The spokesperson of Iran’s Foreign Ministry sees no necessity for a second JCPOA.

Nasser Kanaani, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the ideas for a JCPOA 2 are proposed by those who refrained from fulfilling their commitments and did not carry out their accepted obligations within the framework of the agreement.

He further stated that the issue related to Iran’s nuclear matter is a clear and defined topic, and Iran’s nuclear activities continue within clear mechanisms. Iran has always proven the peaceful nature of its nuclear activities in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency, and after the JCPOA, this has been confirmed in 15 reports by the agency.
