The Iranian Foreign Ministry welcomes Trump’s peace plan to end the Gaza war
On Thursday, October 8, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomed Donald Trump’s proposed peace agreement to end the Gaza war in a statement, announcing that Tehran supports any action and initiative that leads to the cessation of conflicts, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, the delivery of humanitarian aid, and the release of Palestinian prisoners.
The statement says that the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a supporter of the legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people, has utilized all its diplomatic capacities over the past two years at the regional level, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the United Nations to end the crimes and ensure the withdrawal of occupiers from Gaza.
Trump’s peace plan, which was formulated with the support of European and Arab countries allied with the United States, reached an agreement on Wednesday night with the consent of Israel and the Hamas group, and its implementation is set to begin next week.
