Iran's Foreign Ministry Summons German Ambassador in Tehran to Protest Germany's Destructive Approaches Regarding Iran's Internal Developments

The Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the German ambassador in Tehran in protest against Germany’s destructive approaches regarding internal developments in Iran.

In recent weeks, German Foreign Minister Baerbock has repeatedly protested the severe repression and violence by expressing support for protesters in Iran. Today, she also said that such violence cannot be without consequences and reiterated that the new European Union sanctions will target the core of the Revolutionary Guards.

Representatives from Germany and Iceland requested a special session from the United Nations Human Rights Council on Friday.

The United Nations Human Rights Council said today that due to the worsening human rights situation in Iran, it will hold this special session in ten days on November 24.
