Iran's Junior Freestyle Wrestling Team Becomes Asian Champion with 7 Medals

The Iranian junior freestyle wrestling team became the champion of Asia by winning 7 medals.

Iran became the Asian champion with four gold medals, two silver medals, one bronze medal, and 179 points.

The teams from India with 157 points and Kazakhstan, the host of these competitions, with 133 points, came in second and third place.

For the Iranian team, Ebrahim Elahi in the 70 kg category, Mohammad Mahdi Mamiwand in the 74 kg category, Abolfazl Rahmani in the 86 kg category, and Erfan Alizadeh in the 97 kg category won gold medals.

Abolfazl Shamsipour in the 79 kg category and Touhid Nouri in the 92 kg category won silver medals, and Arshia Hadadi in the 57 kg category won a bronze medal.

Previously, the junior Greco-Roman wrestling team had also won the Asian championship title.
