Iran's Junior Greco-Roman Wrestling National Team Wins 2024 World Championship in Spain

The Iranian national youth Greco-Roman wrestling team won the championship cup at the 2024 World Championships in Spain.

Iran, with 4 gold medals, 1 silver, and 1 bronze, stood at the top of the world with 135 points. This is Iran’s fifth championship in the world youth Greco-Roman wrestling.

Ali Ahmadiyofa in 55 kg, Mohammad Mehdi Gholampour in 60 kg, Ahmadreza Mohsennajad in 67 kg without losing any points, and Alireza Abdoli in 77 kg won gold medals.

Abolfazl Fathi Tazangi in the super heavyweight category and Erfan Jarkani in 63 kg were other medal-winning students of Hamid Bavafa, who earned silver and bronze medals.

Bakhtiar Taghaviniya, Malek Mohammad Bouyeri, Mohammad Ali Chamiani, Mehdi Aliyari, and Rouhollah Delangiz were also the national team coaches in Pontevedra, Spain.
