Iran's Last Gold Medal at Paris Paralympics Goes to Ahmad Aminzadeh

The last gold medal for Iran at the Paris Paralympics was awarded to Ahmad Aminzadeh.

Ahmad Aminzadeh, a weightlifter from the Iranian Paralympic team, achieved first place and a gold medal in the over 107 kg category by lifting a 258 kg weight.

Mr. Aminzadeh thus earned the title of the strongest man at the Paris Paralympics.

Before this, Aliakbar Gharibshahi, another heavyweight lifter from Iran’s Paralympic team, had also won a gold medal in the up to 107 kg category.

This medal was the last to be awarded at the Paris Paralympics, and with the conclusion of these games, the Iranian team ranked fourteenth in the world in the medal standings.
